The San Jose Jazz Society has had a very fruitful relationship with Gypsy Tribe, a dynamic group rising in the Bay Area Jazz scene. Gypsy Tribe’s excitement comes from the rich diversity of styles blended into their music. A touch of Flamenco, a dose of New Age, sprinkle in some Latin and Middle Eastern melodies, and shake in some Jazz for just the perfect mix for a soul-stirring sound. Gypsy Tribe was voted the #1 New Age/Jazz group by the San Jose Jazz Society in 1996, and we expect their popularity to increase exponentially as their name becomes even more well known. The San Jose Jazz Society has enjoyed its involvement with Gypsy Tribe, and hopes to continue bringing their unique sounds to the Greater Bay Area.
